A unique program from Sparks offering an extraordinary package of health-related services with no cost to join and no fees or dues to pay! All services are either complimentary or offered at discount prices. Because 55PLUS gives you pluses when you are sick and pluses when you're well, and costs you nothing to join, why not apply today?

Pluses When You're Well

Complimentary screenings on your birthday to detect diabetes, high blood pressure, anemia, cancer of the colon/rectum and other health problems. We also provide free seminars on arthritis, heart disease, nutrition, medication management, osteoporosis and many other subjects.

Membership in the Marvin Altman Fitness Center at a 20% discount.

Discounts with various area merchants just by showing your membership card including discounts within the hospital: 20% in the Sparks Cafeteria and 10% on gift items purchased at Jennifer's at Sparks.

A discount on the Sparks Companion Lifeline.

Pluses When You're Sick

Transportation to and from Sparks. If you live within 25 miles of the hospital and do not require ambulance service, just call 441-5555 in Fort Smith or 1-800-338-3449 outside Fort Smith two days before admittance, and we will schedule your ride. Call one day before release for the return trip.

Three complimentary guest meal tickets are available during your stay for a visiting family member or guest. Your 55PLUS representative can tell you how to take advantage of this service.

Assistance by a 55PLUS representative during your hospital stay.

You must be 55 years or older to join. 55PLUS services do not apply to the skilled nursing facility, outpatient services, emergency department visits or same-day surgery. They apply only to inpatient admissions. Membership does not guarantee admission to Sparks Health System, and normal admission requirements do apply. Sparks Health System reserves the right to change the program services or discontinue the program at any time. The membership card is not a credit card; it is for purposes of identification and membership verification only. 55PLUS Membership Cards are nontransferable. Some restrictions may apply to specific program benefits.
